About the role
- Collect samples and perform field tests on process water, surface water, and groundwater samples
- Monitor activities on job sites to assure compliance with relevant contract documents
- Provide CQA monitoring on several types of construction or environmental activities
- Prepare daily and weekly field reports, construction schedules & progress reports
- Prepare water quality data summaries and reports and communicate with client representatives
- Assure project documentation is correct and consistent with client contract requirements
- Interact with project personnel and assist in cultivating an integrated team approach
- Assist in the preparation of the final reports, work plans, health and safety documents
- Observe and abide by the policies and procedures outlined in the site-specific project health and safety plans
- Perform tasks in other company practice areas as needed
- Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) (required)
- Two (2) years of applicable experience (preferred) or an Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college
- Bachelor's degree in science, construction management, engineering, physical science, environmental science, or related subjects
- Technical experience in construction services, geotechnical, environmental, or related engineering disciplines
- Experience ensuring field activities comply with construction plans and specifications
- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings
- Experience with the operation of typical monitoring and data collection equipment
- Experience with multi-media sampling including soil, water, and air
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 49 pounds unaided and 50-100 pounds with assistance
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing
- Valid U.S. driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and reliable transportation
