About the role
- Assist with engineering calculations using computer-based technical tools;
- Technical writing of reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals;
- Data input and analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures;
- Follow instructions and interact with engineers, geologists, office administrative staff, CADD designers, and contractors and construction personnel;
- Potential for fieldwork such as soil sampling, stormwater inspections, and drilling and contractor monitoring;
- Local travel or driving to project sites as needed.
Requirements
- Currently registered in a Bachelor’s or Master’s university degree program in a civil engineering or related discipline.
- Degree focus area in civil, geotechnical, or environmental engineering. (preferred)
- Experience with Microsoft Office and slope stability software. (preferred)
- Outstanding academic credentials and exceptional interpersonal, technical writing, oral and written communication, and problem-solving skills. (required)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license, reliable transportation, and satisfactory driving record for business travel to project sites. (required)
