About the role
- Conducting fieldwork (up to 50%) such as soil and groundwater sampling and drilling and contractor oversight following training;
- Assisting with engineering calculations, design, and/or research;
- Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals;
- Data management and analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures;
- Following instructions and interacting with engineers, scientists, office administrative staff, CADD operators, contractors and construction personnel;
- Local travel to project sites as needed.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree program in a relevant geological or environmental science, or related engineering discipline.
- Degree focus area environmental engineering, geology, or related engineering or scientific discipline.
- A high interest in working on geological, environmental restoration, and cleanup projects.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license, reliable transportation, and satisfactory driving record for business travel to project sites.
- Experience with ArcView, CADD, and/or Microsoft Office.
- Outstanding academic credentials and exceptional interpersonal, technical writing, oral and written communication and problem-solving skills.
