About the role

  • Supporting projects involving due diligence with substantial historical research including ASTM-compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
  • Supporting environmental compliance services, such as compliance audits and reviews (multi-media)
  • Supporting site characterization and remediation projects
  • Fieldwork such as soil, vapor/air, surface water, and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, and remediation system O&M
  • Developing compliance documents and permit applications associated with the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)
  • Developing task, project, and client management skills
  • Data evaluation, including preparing maps, tables, and figures
  • Support preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals
  • Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, chemistry, biology, or related field (required)
  • Advanced degree in the same (preferred)
  • At least 2 year of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred)
  • Prior internship experience in environmental consulting (preferred)
  • Prior research experience in environmental contamination and remediation (preferred)
  • Occasional field work and overnight travel (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)
