About the role
- Developing and/or reviewing technical drawings, specifications, engineering documents, and analyses for civil design; site development and grading
- Completion or review of civil design packages
- Providing construction engineering support to large civil-design and landfill projects
- Completing construction quality assurance (CQA) tasks for large civil-design and landfill projects
- Providing oversight and project management of multi-disciplinary projects and assistance in managing Client Programs
- Developing and maintaining strong collaborative internal (i.e., within Geosyntec) and external (i.e., clients and subcontractors) relationships
- Mentoring and developing early career engineers
- Preparing task orders and proposals including scope of work, cost/fee estimates, schedule, presentations, etc.
- Fieldwork: Up to 100% Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or closely related discipline (required)
- Minimum 5 years (7+ preferred) of progressive experience in consulting industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
- Experience performing civil design and site grading (required)
- Experience in task and project management (required)
- Strong oral and technical writing skills (required)
- Experience with relevant engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil3D and ArcGIS) (preferred)
- Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers (preferred)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)
