About the role
- Perform and support task and project management functions, including the planning and execution of investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and financial oversight, adherence to schedules and quality standards, client satisfaction, and profitability.
- Perform and manage contaminated site assessments, remedy evaluation, including preparing investigation work plans, design analysis and implementation of feasibility studies, treatability studies, removal action work plans, remedy design, and remedy implementation.
- Prepare remediation action plans for soil, soil vapor, and groundwater remediation projects, including drawings, engineering analyses and calculations, and technical specifications.
- Prepare technical reports, correspondence, memoranda, plans, and proposals.
- Participate in meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Perform fieldwork such as multi-media environmental sampling, sediment sampling and characterization, drilling oversight, contractor supervision, and operation, maintenance, and construction of remediation systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering or a related subject. (required)
- At least 5 years of direct environmental consulting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to environmental remediation. (required)
- Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)
- Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients. (required)
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
- Regular field work and overnight travel. (required)
- Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
- Professional registration (P.E.) or ability to obtain within two years. (preferred)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
- Candidates must currently hold and maintain valid U.S. work authorization.
