About the role

  • Conducting geotechnical field investigations
  • Monitoring heavy civil construction projects
  • Performing and reviewing engineering calculations
  • Earthquake engineering
  • Dam and levee evaluations, design, and permitting
  • Developing construction documents
  • Writing and reviewing engineering reports
  • Driving personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil and/or environmental engineering (required)
  • At least 2 years of work experience in engineering consulting or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred)
  • Prior internship or work experience in engineering consulting (preferred)
  • Experience with geotechnical and engineering software such as AutoCAD, Slope/W, and PLAXIS (preferred)
  • Regular field work and overnight travel (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)
  • Candidates must currently hold and maintain valid U.S. work authorization.
