About the role
- Civil/infrastructure design and site layout
- Site investigation and characterization using geotechnical and environmental field and laboratory data
- Geotechnical design and analyses (e.g. slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, earth retaining structures, seepage, etc.)
- Hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analysis and modeling
- Erosion and sediment control design and NPDES compliance
- Construction oversight and engineering support
- Preparation of technical drawings, specifications, engineering documents, and analyses for: civil design; site development and grading; water resources engineering/stormwater management; erosion and sediment controls; and landfill engineering
- Fieldwork and overnight travel will also be necessary, as needed
- Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering. (required)
- Advanced degree in water resources or geotechnical engineering. (preferred)
- Prior internship experience and/or experience with a civil contractor or consulting firm. (preferred)
- Experience in relevant engineering software (e.g. AutoCAD, Slide, Settle3D HydroCAD, SWMM, ArcGIS, TR-55 etc.). (preferred)
- Experience performing civil design and site grading. (preferred)
- Experience performing hydrologic/hydraulic analyses and designing stormwater infrastructure. (preferred)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
