Oversee task and project management functions, including the planning and execution of investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and financial oversight, adherence to schedules and quality standards, client satisfaction, and profitability.
Lead and manage contaminated site assessments and remedy evaluations, encompassing the preparation of investigation work plans, design analyses, feasibility studies, treatability studies, removal action work plans, remedy design, and implementation.
Scope, execute, and deliver multiple concurrent projects and assignments effectively.
Develop remediation action plans for soil, soil vapor, and groundwater remediation initiatives, including the creation of drawings, engineering analyses and calculations, and technical specifications.
Prepare technical reports, correspondence, memoranda, plans, and proposals.
Direct data quality, data management, and technical discipline teams in the preparation of plans and reports.
Supervise and mentor junior staff, as well as manage subcontractors.
Ensure project delivery meets contract schedules, applicable codes and regulations, regulatory requirements, and industry standard-of-care criteria.
Organize and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
Support lead generation, business development, staff development, and mentoring activities, in alignment with the company's sell-manage-do business model.
Perform fieldwork such as multi-media environmental sampling, sediment sampling and characterization, drilling oversight, contractor supervision, and operation, maintenance, and construction of remediation systems.
Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering or a related subject. (required)
At least 5 years of direct environmental consulting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to environmental remediation. (required)
Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)
Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients. (required)
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
Regular field work and overnight travel. (required)
Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
Professional registration (P.E.) or ability to obtain within two years. (preferred)
Advanced degree in engineering. (preferred)
Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
Regional visibility through involvement in professional associations or trade organizations. (preferred)
