About the role

  • Build and enhance Tines' Records solution for capturing, structuring, querying and visualizing data.
  • Improve data management capabilities, analytics, observability and customer insights.
  • Drive impactful changes in the codebase and deploy to production quickly.
  • Collaborate closely with design and product to create and evolve features like dashboards and TV mode.
  • Scale the Records feature to support processing massive quantities of customer data.
  • Create new dashboard visualizations, querying modes and charts for customers.
  • Use internal tools to improve developer workflow and share learnings via blog posts.
  • Take full ownership of problems from development to production and respond to customer feedback.
  • Contribute to a supportive, sustainable engineering culture that prioritizes simplicity and soundness.
  • Work fully remotely from anywhere in Ireland with optional use of the Dublin office.

Requirements

  • 4+ years as a professional software engineer with a proven track record of success.
  • Direct experience building and delivering software using a high-level programming language.
  • Comfortable working at command-line level technical complexity (Byteboard exercise).
  • Comfortable working across the stack with a focus on handling high-volume data.
  • Willingness to pitch in across areas; broad, not specialized role.
  • Familiarity with Ruby, Rails, React, TypeScript, Postgres, Redis and Docker is helpful but not required.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn; company will cover education material to upskill you.
  • Ability to write and review high-quality, well-tested code and take full ownership of solutions.
  • Mentor and support other engineers; strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Cybersecurity knowledge not required.
