About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Goal: Design the Internal Developer Platform (IDP) to be as intuitive and efficient as possible for developers
- Eliminate friction points in the software delivery process
- Develop features for the IDP to enable applications to be deployed to the cloud quickly and independently
- Design and implement self-service functions within the IDP and high-performance CI/CD pipelines in GitLab
- Establish modern deployment workflows using ArgoCD
- Support teams in taking ownership of their services from code commit through to stable operation in the cluster
- Actively coach development teams and convey best practices in cloud-native development and deployment strategies
- Automate application delivery using Helm
- Improve developer-journey tools as a service-oriented bridge between development and operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Several years of professional experience in software development or the DevOps domain with a strong focus on automation
- Solid experience with GitLab CI, Helm, Kubernetes, ArgoCD and Terraform / OpenTofu
- Strong service orientation and excellent mentoring skills
- Passion for simplifying processes and creating self-service infrastructures
- Ideally, an interest in databases
- Very good German skills (C1 or higher) and good English skills (B2 or higher)
