About the role

  • Responsible for financial control of regulated and non-regulated services, domestic and international, as well as operational activities related to billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable and collections.
  • Post accounting entries, perform account settlements/offsets and apply payment clearings.
  • Manage the aging report, monitor the collection curve, handle disputes, perform preliminary analyses and assess impacts on Bad Debt.
  • Execute billing processes for services provided to Wholesale areas (Domestic and International Services), IoT and 5G, VAS providers and Strategic Partnerships.
  • Record revenue and expenses in SAP.
  • Monitor the contract with the clearing house.
  • Analyze Accounts Receivable / Credit positions and ledger balances.
  • Reconcile bank transit account statements with accounts receivable.
  • Review and validate contracts (CLM/Ariba and others) and assess contracting/negotiation risks and opportunities.
  • Determine, verify and record the accounting closure of disputes.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable balances.
  • Monitor execution of Accounts Payable activities.
  • Perform collection of outstanding amounts.
  • Prepare projections and analyze cash flow variances (actual vs. forecast).
  • Reconcile and settle account offsets.
  • Generate accounts receivable aging, apply criteria and forward to the business areas - PECLD.
  • Register new operators/carriers.
  • Manage financial control of the contract with Telecom Italia (brand fee and consultancy).
  • Participate in UATs for system improvements.
  • Execute internal controls over performed activities according to the designs defined for Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOx) certification.
  • Manage contracts under the area’s responsibility.
  • Respond to audit requests, whether internal or external.

Requirements

  • Experience with SAP FI, SAP MM and SAP SD modules.
  • Experience producing reports and presentations.
  • Experience in cash flow generation and provisioning.
  • Knowledge of posting routines and accounting entries in SAP and experience in accounts payable/receivable, billing and collections activities.
  • Experience in contract analysis; experience in projects and mergers/acquisitions is a plus.
  • Experience with financial calculations and basic accounting, fiscal and tax concepts.
  • Proficiency with Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with controls and process management.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Visio for process mapping.
  • Knowledge of the Telecom market.
  • Proficiency in English (for international services).
  • Bachelor's degree: Economics, Accounting, Statistics (STEM/exact sciences).
  • Fluent English.
