About the role
- Manage and oversee day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Lead the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Drive the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery
- Coordinate and review tax filings, liaise with external tax advisors, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Execute and oversee payment runs, manage liquidity planning, and support cash flow forecasting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, financial planning, and variance analysis
- Support operational debt financing activities by preparing accurate data and providing timely responses
- Identify, implement, and manage process improvements and automation opportunities within finance
- Respond to internal and external finance-related inquiries and support audit processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in accounting or finance, ideally in a fast-paced or international environment
- Strong knowledge of German GAAP/IFRS and German tax regulations
- Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems (preferably NetSuite) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills
- Excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and an analytical mindset
- Experience with process improvement and automation tools is a plus
- Strong communication skills in English and German
- Hands-on, ownership-driven attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
