About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Building highly scalable microservices in a serverless backend architecture with a continuous delivery pipeline.
  • Participate in design sessions to help improve the overall architecture of platform.
  • Become well versed in AWS technologies and building a modern event driven serverless architecture.
  • Work with stakeholders and product owners to understand requirements and come up with solutions.
  • Continuous learning: Tillster provides access to LinkedIn learning courses where you can beef up your skills in different areas as needed.
  • Utilizing various application integration techniques to communicate with third party and legacy/back-end systems.
  • Help with the development of high-volume, high-performance, high-availability, service-oriented Java or Typescript applications using proven Java or typescript frameworks and technologies.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3-5+ years’ experience in design and development of service-oriented Java, Python, C# , Typescript(or any modern language) applications
  • Design and develop reusable libraries and APIs and microservices
  • Languages: Any modern OOP language will do, but Java or Typescript preferred.
  • Experience with relational or NoSQL data stores
  • Relevant O/S knowledge (Linux/Unix and Windows), Networking knowledge and experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, with good verbal and written skills.
  • Agile/Scrum experience
  • Previous experience with Point-of-Sale development or payment systems is a plus but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or similar) or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience with AWS serverless and companion technologies like DynamoDB, SQS, etc would be great but not required.
