About the role
- Define and drive Timescale’s AI product strategy in close partnership with the co-founder and CTO.
- Lead 0→1 product development and take new ideas from inception through launch and adoption.
- Develop a deep understanding of our target users and their problems, the competitive landscape, and market trends.
- Build strong connections in the SF AI and developer community, representing TigerData and identifying opportunities for influence and growth.
- Develop and execute on strategic partnerships with AI companies and platforms.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, and go-to-market teams to deliver products and drive adoption.
- Define success metrics, run experiments, and iterate rapidly based on feedback.
Requirements
- Former founder with a proven track record of creating and shipping products from 0→1→10.
- 5+ years of product leadership (PM or entrepreneurial), including 2+ years building AI products.
- Experience with databases or other technical products with high scale, high performance needs.
- Deep knowledge of modern distributed systems and the data infrastructure ecosystem.
- Based in San Francisco, with strong ties to the local AI and developer community.
- Technical background (CS degree or equivalent developer experience strongly preferred).
- Ability to combine strategic thinking with tactical execution.
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Entrepreneurial, decisive, and comfortable navigating uncertainty.
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and problem-solving skills.
