About the role

  • Manage and operate cloud infrastructure (mainly AWS, with smaller workloads in Azure and GCP)
  • Design, build, and maintain cloud-based solutions
  • Lead and mentor other engineers
  • Act as an escalation point for India working hours to resolve issues before European colleagues are on duty
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-based and networking issues
  • Ensure cloud-based solutions meet business needs through cross-team collaboration
  • Stay up-to-date on cloud computing technologies and implement best practices (GitOps, IaC)

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in distributed computing
  • Experience with AWS
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with Terraform
  • Experience with GitHub
  • Experience with Argo CD
  • Experience with APIs
  • Experience with containers
  • Experience with cloud security
  • Agile ways of working
  • Hands-on coding in Python, Java or Go
  • GitOps as a deployment methodology
  • Experience in Pair Coding
  • Ability to automate - Infrastructure as Code
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
