About the role
- Analyse and measure exposure to financial risks related to Tide's cash management, assets, earning capacity, or economic state and recommend mitigations
- Partner with Finance & Treasury 1LoD Risk Owners to understand strategy, provide challenge, and ensure controls and governance operate effectively
- Critically challenge 1LoD inputs for financial and statutory reporting accounting practices and quality, and advise to resolve audit/internal findings
- Manage the Global Financial Risk Register covering market, operational, and model risks
- Monitor compliance with timely submission of Financial Statements and Regulatory Reporting
- Coordinate Financial and Treasury Risk audits and prepare audit evidence related to Financial Risk Management
- Partner with Treasury/Finance and Quality Control teams to ensure soundness and effectiveness of financial risk controls
- Ensure accuracy of information in ERM system and provide ongoing oversight
- Design and implement dashboards for monitoring financial, model, and operational risk and for Senior Management/Board reporting
- Conduct policy and procedure reviews, enhance Financial Risk Management framework, and support financial risk oversight projects including analytics, reporting, and process automation
- Perform independent risk-based validation of key Financial Statements and reports generated by Finance
- Provide risk input to 1LoD finance function and technical working groups and monitor resolution of Risk, Audit, QC, and Incident tickets related to financial risk
Requirements
- At least 5 years’ proven experience in a 2LoD Financial Risk role, ideally within a Fintech or Bank
- Essential experience in the review and analysis of statutory audit findings and regulatory financial reports
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Strong academic background with a degree in a quantitative discipline (desirable)
- Experience in Statutory Financial Reporting and Financial Controls risk management (desirable)
- A solid grounding in data analysis using quantitative analytic tools and good research skills
- Ability to identify trends, interpret data from multiple sources, and investigate anomalies and unusual patterns/activities
- Solid analytical abilities and strong technical skills with experience using SQL/MS Office
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to make clear recommendations considering commercial and customer implications
- Sound communication skills to articulate complex issues and analysis effectively, both in writing and verbally, to Senior Management and across the company
