About the role
- Spend a significant portion of the day on outbound calling, engaging prospects and initiating conversations
- Work through targeted account lists and identify new contacts within organizations
- Conduct outreach across phone, email, and LinkedIn, with calling as the primary channel
- Research accounts and tailor messaging before outreach
- Hold introductory calls and early-stage discovery conversations
- Document activity, update pipeline stages, and capture key insights in CRM
- Collaborate with Account Executives on next steps and meeting preparation
- Participate in team training, coaching sessions, and role-play exercises
- Review outreach performance and adjust messaging or targeting as needed
Requirements
- Clear and confident communication, especially over the phone
- Resilience and consistency in a high-activity, outbound environment
- Strong work ethic and genuine openness to coaching and feedback
- Ability to stay organized and manage daily outreach effectively
- Comfort engaging with new people and initiating business conversations
- Motivated by performance goals and continuous improvement
- Prior experience in an SDR, BDR, or business development role
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales process documentation
- Exposure to enterprise or mid-market B2B sales environments
- Curiosity about technology, Workday, or professional services industries
- Experience working cross-functionally with marketing or account executives
