About the role
- Serve as the senior clinical executive and medical authority for MyAdvisor programs, policies, and care models.
- Provide oversight and guidance for behavioral health, care navigation, and integrated care delivery models.
- Ensure clinical practices align with evidence-based standards, ethical guidelines, and military-cultural competency.
- Act as a clinical advisor to executive leadership, partners and external stakeholders.
- Lead the development and execution of clinical quality, utilization management, and outcomes measurement strategies.
- Oversee clinical quality assurance, peer review, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and mitigate clinical risk, client safety concerns, and adverse events.
- Partner with operations and analytics teams to track outcomes, engagement, and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, including VA, DoD, CMS, and commercial payer requirements.
- Serve as clinical lead for audits, corrective action plans, and regulatory inquiries.
- Maintain awareness of evolving behavioral health and telehealth regulations.
- Provide clinical oversight for MyAdvisor’s national behavioral health and specialty provider network.
- Promote best practices in provider engagement, retention, and clinical supervision.
- Champion trauma-informed, culturally competent, and person-focused care delivery.
- Partner with Business Development, Capture, and Proposal teams to support growth strategies, RFP responses, and solution design.
- Serve as a clinical subject matter expert for federal and commercial proposals, customer meetings, and solutioning.
- Support development of new programs, digital health initiatives, and innovative care models.
- Act as a clinical representative for MyAdvisor with customers, government agencies, health plans, and partners.
- Support thought leadership, presentations, and external communications as appropriate.
- Strengthen MyAdvisor’s reputation as a trusted, mission-driven behavioral health organization.
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license (multi-state licensure preferred).
- Board certification in Psychiatry, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related specialty (Psychiatry strongly preferred).
- Minimum 10–15 years of clinical experience, including leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience in behavioral health, managed care, care management, or population health.
- Experience working with complex, high-risk, or underserved populations.
- Strong understanding of healthcare quality, utilization management, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience supporting veterans, military families, or government healthcare programs (VA, DoD, or federal/state contracts).
