About the role
- Own and manage configurations and changes to Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) within relevant modules
- Act as primary liaison between finance stakeholders (including business process owners and subject matter experts) and the IT team to translate business requirements into actionable system configurations and enhancements
- Support standardization of processes globally while accommodating local variations
- Maintain thorough documentation for all configurations, system changes, and requirements for audit and compliance purposes
- Lead change management activities for system updates, upgrades, and new features to ensure minimal disruption and effective user adoption
- Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure D365 supports reporting, auditing, and compliance requirements
- Regularly assess system performance and suggest improvements working closely with internal and external teams to optimize D365 for greater efficiency and effectiveness
- Configure finance and accounting modules including financial reporting, budgeting, general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and tax management
- Enable robust financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and audit processes
- Collaborate closely with finance teams and IT to continuously refine system configurations and support global process standardization efforts
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role (e.g., Business Process Owner, Business Analyst, or System Architect) within a multinational organization
- Proven experience in ERP implementation, configuration, and optimization, particularly in financial systems and processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience within the finance or accounting domain
- Experience with data analysis, reporting tools, and forecasting in an ERP environment
- Strong project management and process improvement skills
- Customer service-oriented attitude, with an ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on detail and accuracy
- Experience supporting financial system audits and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards, including SOX, IFRS, and GAAP
- Strong experience with D365 Finance and Operations (FO) and finance and accounting modules (general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, tax management, financial reporting)
- Availability for occasional weekend work
- Willingness to travel occasionally (National/Global)
