About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, estates, and exempt organizations
- Provide technical guidance and support to tax preparers, especially on complex issues
- Conduct inducement training sessions and ongoing training including tax laws updates
- Assign daily tasks to preparers and monitor progress to ensure timely completion
- Submit completed tax returns and related documentation within scheduled timelines
- Contribute to various organizational projects as per business requirements
- Ensure strict compliance with organizational policies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a related field, with 4 to 6 years of experience in U.S. taxation or a relevant domain
- Familiarity with SPBinder is an added advantage
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. tax forms, including 1040, 1041, and 990
- Strong understanding of tax concepts, industry practices, and procedures
- Proven ability to plan and accomplish goals using sound judgment
- Demonstrated leadership in directing and supporting colleagues’ work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in tax software such as GoSystem, CCH Axcess, UltraTax, and Lacerte
- Solid accounting and analytical skills with an eye for detail
- Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office applications
- Effective time management and organizational abilities
