About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Researching, writing and maintaining clear, current, practical legal content aligned with market practice and customer needs.
  • Reviewing and editing content written by others, including colleagues and external contributors.
  • Keeping up to date with legal, practice, and market developments to ensure content remains accurate and relevant.
  • Using legal expertise to support the development of customer-focused Thomson Reuters' AI-powered legal solutions.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with lawyers and industry groups to ensure content reflects current market practice.
  • Contributing to innovative plans for future dispute resolution content.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 5 years PQE experience as a commercial litigation lawyer in a top or mid-tier private practice or in-house or government team.
  • Background in general commercial litigation, preferably in the superior courts of Australia.
  • Experience practising in multiple jurisdictions within Australia, and in various types of litigation (e.g. construction, insurance, property).
  • Good working knowledge of civil procedure in the Federal Court and at least one of the state/territory Supreme Courts.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, passion for writing about legal practice accurately, concisely.
  • Collaborative mindset with ability to work effectively independently and in teams.
  • Good technical skills and ability to utilise various tools, including generative AI technologies.
  • Adaptability and flexibility for diverse projects and tasks, including supporting Thomson Reuters' AI solutions.
  • Experience in using AI tools in legal work.
  • Some knowledge of online research databases.
  • Proven ability to work with ambiguity and collaborate with diverse teams.
