About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review, maintain, and update Practical Law content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment
- Adhere to editorial publishing schedules and quality standards
- Perform detailed editorial review work, including maintaining Practical Law documents
- Check and validate case and statute citation links
- Correct punctuation, style, grammar, and formatting
- Maintain and develop legal knowledge and editorial skills
- Participate in team meetings and the employee evaluation process
- Engage with AI and large language model (LLM) initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
- Strong legal comprehension, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
- Established copyediting and proofreading skills
- Comfortable using advanced editing tools in Microsoft Word
- Proficient in or able to quickly develop proficiency with Westlaw and Practical Law
- Can quickly comprehend legal content and apply style guides, editorial standards, and revisions accurately
- Collaborative team member who works effectively in a global, cross-functional environment
- Clear, proactive communicator who can convey ideas and feedback effectively
