Legal Editor – MENA

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Source and monitor legal materials across the MENA region.
- Evaluate and prioritise content using expert legal judgement.
- Decide on the need for English translation of materials.
- Analyse Arabic-language legal texts with precision.
- Review and quality-check content to ensure accuracy and readiness for publication.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regional legal developments.
- Contribute to content improvement projects and identify gaps.
- Support internal stakeholders and customers by responding to legal content queries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A degree from an accredited law school or equivalent relevant legal qualification — essential.
- Native Arabic speaker with full professional fluency in English — essential.
- Deep knowledge of Middle Eastern legal systems, with particular familiarity with Civil Law principles as applied across the MENA region.
- Understanding of the structure and publication of official legal materials in one or more MENA jurisdictions.
- Exceptional legal reading and analytical skills in Arabic.
- Sound editorial judgement and decisiveness.
- Meticulous attention to detail, with well-developed proofreading skills in both Arabic and English.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain quality under pressure.
- Comfortable with digital research environments, content management systems, AI enhanced workflows, and online legal research tools.
