About the role
- Lead the strategic development and execution of Thomson Reuters' pricing initiatives across the portfolio
- Design and execute effective pricing strategies aligned with Product, Finance, and GTM teams
- Direct comprehensive pricing analyses for new, renewal, and upsell/cross-sell offerings
- Develop and refine complex models to assess price sensitivity and feature/price trade-offs
- Oversee creation and maintenance of price books and discount guidelines
- Collaborate with Commercial Excellence to implement system enhancements and automated quoting
- Establish annual price adjustments, govern discounting practices, and create governance frameworks
- Lead pricing support for high-priority strategic initiatives including pricing overhauls and new product introductions
- Conduct in-depth analysis on pricing decision impacts and define pricing performance metrics
- Support Director in training, upskilling and leading other team members
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in B2B pricing, with experience within technology or SaaS or related industries
- Proven track record in price setting and execution in technology-driven industries
- Advanced degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field preferred
- Professional pricing certification (such as CPP) is a plus
- Experience with Alteryx, SAP and Power BI a plus
- Proficient in the deployment and enhancement of pricing and quoting tools
- Strong analytical mindset, adept at acquiring, interpreting, and leveraging customer and market insights
- Methodical and structured thinking with ability to simplify complex scenarios
- Bias for action and experience developing and implementing pricing policies
- Demonstrated ability to influence and drive consensus among stakeholders, including senior leaders
- Strong project management skills
- Keen interest in AI technologies and proficient using AI tools in the workplace
