About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications on the InterSystems IRIS platform
- Develop RESTful APIs and microservices
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers and backend developers
- Implement automated tests as part of the delivery pipeline
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Integrate relational and NoSQL data stores such as InterSystems IRIS, PostgreSQL, or S3
- Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and ensure adherence to coding standards
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and performance
- Ensure application security and data privacy
- Oversee the work of a small development team — including task planning and allocation, progress tracking, and meeting deadlines.
Requirements
What you’ll need- More than 5 years of professional experience as a developer
- Experience with InterSystems IRIS, Caché, or Ensemble is a plus
- Experience with supply-chain interoperability formats and/or healthcare interoperability formats is a plus
- Experience with interoperability protocols and/or messaging queues is a plus
- Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and microservices architecture
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Good knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization tools
- Basic familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Successful completion of an enhanced background check is required.
