About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop software applications using best practices in coordination with a distributed team
- Apply mastery-level understanding of software development methodologies to design and build complex SaaS systems
- Drive design decisions including platform selection, coding standards, and technical implementation
- Contribute across all aspects of an Agile development process, design, programming, testing, documentation, QA, and implementation
- Lead code reviews to enforce standards and provide constructive feedback
- Mentor junior team members to reinforce best practices and support their growth
- Ensure development efforts are properly estimated and delivered on time and to quality standards
- Collaborate with internal and external end users on requirements gathering and application design
- Provide technical guidance to management and help shape the technical direction for new product development
- Leverage innovation time to explore pet projects and areas of special interest
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience developing software for the Global Trade industry, specifically in logistics, customs, or supply chain management
- 10+ years of software development experience across multiple programming languages, with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new ones
- Proficiency in .NET development (C#, VB.NET)
- Proficiency in responsive front-end / single page application development using Angular
- Proficiency developing and consuming REST APIs, including documentation tooling (Swagger, Postman)
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL data persistence systems (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)
- Working knowledge of DataDog for observability, APM, and RUM
- AWS and/or GCP cloud-native development experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with agentic AI-First development tools and processes
- Comfort with iterative, spec-light design
- Solid understanding of application security from both the web service and web application perspective
- Lead-level understanding of design patterns and N-Tier architecture
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- SaaS development experience on large to enterprise-class applications
