About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as the lead project contact on assigned customer engagements.
- Communicate clear role and project expectations to team members, and support performance through planning, monitoring, appraising, and regular feedback.
- Ensure each project is delivered in line with company policies and procedures, project governance requirements and applicable clients, contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews, preparing and completing action plans, implementing production, productivity, quality, and client-service standards, resolving problems, determining system improvements, implementing change.
- Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements, supporting commercial scoping and budgeting, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Update knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
- Enhance departmental and organizational reputation by accepting ownership of new and different requests and identifying opportunities to add value.
- Develop budgets and track budget expenditure.
- Mentor team members and provide regular feedback.
- Support resource planning and, where applicable, provide day-to-day direction coaching and supervision to team members.
- Manage project team members in a proficient and effective manner.
- Promote process and continuous improvement.
- Undertake continuing professional development opportunities relevant to the role.
- Carry out other duties reasonably required, consistent with the nature and level of the role.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstratable project management and planning experience, typically gained over 3-5 years in a similar role.
- Relevant project management qualification or training, for example PRINCE2, APM, PMP or Agile certification
- Experience in IT consulting, managed services, or technology solutions preferred.
- Possess excellent organisational, presentation, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to manage client expectations, including in relation to scope, schedule, budget, and overall client satisfaction.
- Able to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Able to prioritise competing deadlines, manage risk, and coordinate multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing business and client requirements.
