About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Set the vision for a forward-looking, mission-aligned finance function
  • Serve as the organization’s senior-most internal finance leader
  • Lead the development and implementation of integrated budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management
  • Act as the bridge between strategy and execution
  • Lead from within the work by staying hands-on with budgeting, modeling, financial analysis
  • Create and use financial modeling, sustainability planning, cost allocations, revenue analysis, and risk assessment
  • Translate complex financial information into actionable insights, dashboards, reports, and presentations
  • Bring a builder’s mindset to strengthen financial systems, planning tools, and reporting processes
  • Leverage technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of experience in nonprofit finance and budgeting
  • Passionate about using finance as a strategic tool
  • Builder and systems thinker who enjoys creating clarity from complexity
  • Operational range beyond finance, with experience overseeing policy and practice, contracts and procurement
  • Experience leading financial compliance, grant budgeting, and audits
  • Thrives in fast-growing, evolving organizations
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and strengthening systems
  • Committed to building practices that are fair, transparent, and aligned with the organization’s mission
  • Solutions-oriented and energized by solving problems
  • Active learning mindset with technology and AI applications
