Key responsibilities & impact

Set the vision for a forward-looking, mission-aligned finance function
Serve as the organization’s senior-most internal finance leader
Lead the development and implementation of integrated budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management
Act as the bridge between strategy and execution
Lead from within the work by staying hands-on with budgeting, modeling, financial analysis
Create and use financial modeling, sustainability planning, cost allocations, revenue analysis, and risk assessment
Translate complex financial information into actionable insights, dashboards, reports, and presentations
Bring a builder’s mindset to strengthen financial systems, planning tools, and reporting processes
Leverage technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of experience in nonprofit finance and budgeting
Passionate about using finance as a strategic tool
Builder and systems thinker who enjoys creating clarity from complexity
Operational range beyond finance, with experience overseeing policy and practice, contracts and procurement
Experience leading financial compliance, grant budgeting, and audits
Thrives in fast-growing, evolving organizations
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and strengthening systems
Committed to building practices that are fair, transparent, and aligned with the organization’s mission
Solutions-oriented and energized by solving problems
Active learning mindset with technology and AI applications
