  • Manage, coach, and mentor a team of up to 10 Product Owners and Product Managers, supporting their career growth, skill development, and performance
  • Conduct regular performance management duties: performance reviews, career pathing, goal setting, and performance improvement issue escalation
  • Provide resources to continuously support team knowledge building and development
  • Foster community, belonging, and collaboration across the Product discipline and PMO
  • Participate in departmental recruiting, hiring, and onboarding activities
  • Work with other PMO leadership and project team leaders to ensure projects are appropriately staffed to leverage our team’s bandwidth and skillset
  • Define and evolve the standards, practices, and frameworks for the Product discipline
  • Nurture and elevate the Product client offering, building repeatable approaches, playbooks, and templates, and advocating for the value of Product roles within business development activities
  • Ensure alignment with industry best practices while introducing innovative methods for continued client value
  • Encourage adoption of AI-enabled approaches to improve efficiency, quality, and insights where appropriate
  • Serve as a senior-level advisor to project teams and to clients, providing meaningful guidance and mentorship on deliverables and helping to navigate challenges
  • Identify project pain paints; advise and work with the team to identify solutions
  • Contribute to internal strategic initiatives within the PMO and across wider company leadership

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Senior Product Owner or Product Manager in a consultancy or similar client services environment, with hands-on experience managing shipped products or leading GTM strategies
  • Proven people management experience leading a team of direct reports, including mentoring and coaching, in a patient and empathetic way
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with direct reports, as well as others throughout the organization
  • Prior experience mentoring, building skills, and identifying desired career paths
  • Experience establishing or scaling a discipline or practice within a consultancy
  • Strong knowledge of modern Agile methodologies, frameworks, and tools
  • Knowledge of data strategy and analysis
  • Able to actively consult on challenging projects as needed, and assist direct reports with problem-solving, strategic thinking, and backlog/roadmap reviews
  • Comfortable working with cross-disciplinary teams and with organizations of various sizes
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor to clients at the executive and senior stakeholder level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve strategically, make sound decisions, and provide guidance on complex challenges
  • CSPO, CPM, or equivalent product management/ownership certification
