About the role
- Designing and maintaining scalable, secure data pipelines that feed BigQuery from diverse sources
- Owning our infrastructure-as-code setup using Terraform
- Automating data QA, modeling, and maintenance tasks using scripting and AI
- Optimizing query performance and minimizing latency across the data stack
- Guiding data governance, including implementing role-based access control and security policies
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
- Hands-on experience with dbt, Airflow, and modern cloud data platforms (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift)
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform
- Clear understanding of data governance and security best practices
- Product minded Engineers, you translate messy business needs into clean, scalable models
- Comfortable working autonomously in a fully remote, async team
- A strong sense of ownership with a bias for action and long-term thinking
- Curious about AI and how it can improve efficiency and decision-making
