About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

You'll manage approximately 12–15 client relationships while serving as their primary accounting advisor.
Responsibilities include full-cycle accounting and month-end close, general ledger management, journal entries, financial statement preparation, revenue recognition and revenue reconciliation, sales tax research and reconciliation, cash flow reporting, budgeting and forecasting, financial modeling, cleanup of historical accounting records.
You'll also help strengthen our accounting practice by supporting the technical development of our team.
Responsibilities include reviewing and approving month-end close work prepared by staff accountants, performing quality control reviews of financial statements, mentoring and training junior accountants, and developing internal accounting procedures and best practices.

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP
Extensive QuickBooks Online experience
Experience managing multiple client relationships
Experience leading complete month-end close processes
Advanced balance sheet reconciliation skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets proficiency
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience working in a fully remote environment
Comfortable leading virtual client meetings
Comfortable learning new software and troubleshooting technology independently
