About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead core accounting activities, including general ledger, revenue accounting, cost tracking, and monthly close
Maintain and enforce accounting policies in accordance with U.S. GAAP
Own the monthly and quarterly close process, including timelines, deliverables, and reviews
Ensure balance sheet integrity through reconciliations and account analysis
Deliver accurate and timely financial statements and management reporting
Oversee revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
Ensure accurate accounting for event costs, vendor expenses, staffing costs, and client billing
Oversee cash management, liquidity planning, and banking relationships
Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting
Manage and develop the accounting team with clear goals and expectations

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles; experience in staffing, marketing, or service-based environments preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606; ERP experience (NetSuite or similar) preferred
Proven ability to improve close processes, strengthen controls, and implement efficient accounting workflows
Treats accounting as a business tool that drives performance and decision-making
Able to clearly explain financial results to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
Strong track record of working effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams
