About the role

  • Lead hands-on development of complex features and components from concept to deployment
  • Drive technical excellence: own architecture decisions, code quality, and development standards
  • Serve as the go-to technical expert and problem solver for the team
  • Mentor and coach engineers, supporting their growth and fostering knowledge sharing
  • Investigate and adopt new technologies, driving innovation into the product
  • Take ownership across the full development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, deployment, and production troubleshooting
  • Design for scalability, sustainability, and high performance in production-grade environments
  • Lead the team from a technological perspective and set a high technical bar

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of hands-on experience in developing data-oriented, highly complex products using Java/Python/other OOP languages - Must
  • Proven experience as a Tech Lead / Senior Engineer with leadership responsibilities
  • Experience in data processing frameworks such as Spark or Pandas (experience with Minio / Airflow – an advantage)
  • Strong experience in production-level troubleshooting and SDLC methodologies
  • Experience with distributed databases (e.g., Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis)
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Familiarity with AI tools to enhance and accelerate development workflows
  • Experience with developing microservices-based architectures
  • Experience working in container-based environments using tools such as K8s, Helm
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow)
  • Nice to have: Experience with RedHat OpenShift
  • Nice to have: Dev environment knowledge: Git, Jenkins, Docker
  • Experience collaborating with teams located both in Israel and internationally
