About the role

Lead hands-on development of complex features and components from concept to deployment
Drive technical excellence: own architecture decisions, code quality, and development standards
Serve as the go-to technical expert and problem solver for the team
Mentor and coach engineers, supporting their growth and fostering knowledge sharing
Investigate and adopt new technologies, driving innovation into the product
Take ownership across the full development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, deployment, and production troubleshooting
Design for scalability, sustainability, and high performance in production-grade environments
Lead the team from a technological perspective and set a high technical bar

At least 8 years of hands-on experience in developing data-oriented, highly complex products using Java/Python/other OOP languages - Must
Proven experience as a Tech Lead / Senior Engineer with leadership responsibilities
Experience in data processing frameworks such as Spark or Pandas (experience with Minio / Airflow – an advantage)
Strong experience in production-level troubleshooting and SDLC methodologies
Experience with distributed databases (e.g., Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis)
Experience working in Agile environments
Familiarity with AI tools to enhance and accelerate development workflows
Experience with developing microservices-based architectures
Experience working in container-based environments using tools such as K8s, Helm
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others
Nice to have: Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow)
Nice to have: Experience with RedHat OpenShift
Nice to have: Dev environment knowledge: Git, Jenkins, Docker
Experience collaborating with teams located both in Israel and internationally
