About the role
- Lead hands-on development of complex features and components from concept to deployment
- Drive technical excellence: own architecture decisions, code quality, and development standards
- Serve as the go-to technical expert and problem solver for the team
- Mentor and coach engineers, supporting their growth and fostering knowledge sharing
- Investigate and adopt new technologies, driving innovation into the product
- Take ownership across the full development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, deployment, and production troubleshooting
- Design for scalability, sustainability, and high performance in production-grade environments
- Lead the team from a technological perspective and set a high technical bar
Requirements
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience in developing data-oriented, highly complex products using Java/Python/other OOP languages - Must
- Proven experience as a Tech Lead / Senior Engineer with leadership responsibilities
- Experience in data processing frameworks such as Spark or Pandas (experience with Minio / Airflow – an advantage)
- Strong experience in production-level troubleshooting and SDLC methodologies
- Experience with distributed databases (e.g., Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis)
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Familiarity with AI tools to enhance and accelerate development workflows
- Experience with developing microservices-based architectures
- Experience working in container-based environments using tools such as K8s, Helm
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others
- Nice to have: Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow)
- Nice to have: Experience with RedHat OpenShift
- Nice to have: Dev environment knowledge: Git, Jenkins, Docker
- Experience collaborating with teams located both in Israel and internationally
