Business Development – Operations Associate

General Counsel

• Act as Senior Legal Counsel and amplify General Counsel capabilities across Thesis and portfolio companies
• Draft, review, and negotiate DeFi commercial agreements including market making, liquidity provision, protocol-to-protocol integrations, institutional custody agreements, OTC trading arrangements, strategic token swaps, and grant programs
• Draft and negotiate venture investment documents, SAFTs, token warrants, and other Web3-native investment instruments
• Develop standardized legal frameworks for DeFi primitives including automated market makers, lending protocols, liquid staking, and cross-chain bridges
• Review and advise on smart contract architecture from a legal risk perspective
• Monitor evolving global cryptocurrency regulations and advise on implications for product roadmaps
• Oversee KYC/AML/sanctions compliance programs and on-chain monitoring protocols
• Assist with development of policies for SEC, CFTC, FinCEN, and OFAC compliance in decentralized systems
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams from ideation through launch to identify and mitigate legal risks
• Advise on intellectual property strategy including open-source licensing, patent strategy, and trademark protection
• Support developer relations initiatives including hackathons, grants programs, validator program and ecosystem funds
• Review technical documentation, whitepapers, and marketing materials for regulatory compliance

• Drive operational excellence across a remote-first, globally distributed team by building scalable, tech-enabled people systems
• Design and continuously improve scalable, tech-enabled processes for onboarding, performance management, offboarding, and all touchpoints of the employee journey
• Lead HRIS implementation, process automation, and data analytics to optimize people operations and enable data-driven decision making
• Execute AI strategy by automating people operations processes and supporting the broader team in experimenting with and adopting AI tools

• Lead social media strategy, building and executing plans aligned to portfolio objectives.

• Strengthen brand perception and rebuild trust by addressing community feedback and improving sentiment across platforms and review sites.

• Thesis is a cryptocurrency venture studio building on Bitcoin since 2014; remote-first company. We seek, fund, and build products/protocols in cryptocurrency and decentralized businesses. Our projects include Mezo (Bitcoin finance app), Keep/Threshold Network, Fold, Taho, Lolli, Embody. Remote-first and experience in crypto. About the Data Engineer role: mid-level Data Engineer with experience in financial services, crypto, or blockchain data. You’ll help expand in-house data capabilities and design pipelines for high-volume, high-integrity financial data. What You’ll Do: Architect complex, real-time data pipelines; Proactively optimize and maintain processes; Collaborate with Data Science; Work closely with on-chain data; Collaborate with cross-functional teams. Requirements: 3–6 years in data engineering; Python and SQL; Data warehousing (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift); GTM; Orchestration like Fivetran/Airflow; GCP; Data governance; Crypto data tooling; Data warehousing patterns; Preferred: Looker etc.

• Month-End Close Support: Assist with month-end close processes, prepare journal entries, and perform account reconciliations across multiple entities
