About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead assigned projects through defined project phases from execution start through commissioning and closeout.
- Ensure gate readiness by completing required deliverables and securing approvals prior to advancing.
- Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, and budgets aligned with PMO standards.
- Serve as the primary customer interface for assigned projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, fabrication, software, and field services.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and change control.
- Provide accurate and timely project reporting using standardized PMO tools.
- Support installation, commissioning, and customer acceptance activities as required.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and accountability.
- Coordinate daily subcontractor and trade partner activities on the project site.
- Ensure field work aligns with project drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Assist with scheduling, material planning, and installation progress tracking.
- Serve as a key point of contact for customers, general contractors, and trade partners.
- Communicate project updates, schedules, and milestones clearly and proactively.
- Build strong professional relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and communication records.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience managing complex industrial or systems integration projects.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, schedules, and project documentation on active job sites.
- Exposure to automation, control systems integration, or mission critical infrastructure environments is beneficial.
- PMP certification or progress toward certification is preferred.
- Demonstrated success coordinating construction-site activities or technical project execution.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and project scheduling software such as MS Project or Smartsheet.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with remote teams and leadership.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and how project decisions impact safety and system performance.
