About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide tactical and strategic planning, operational oversight, support, and direct supervision of the Clinical Data Liaison function within Data Analytics
- Work with functional area leads to evaluate operational-risk signals and advocate for risk-mitigation strategies
- Oversee Centralized Monitoring processes, ensuring timelines and contracts are adhered to and quality standards are met for assigned projects
- Manage resources and workload of direct reports
- Support department infrastructure through leadership of support services, database administration, performance measurement, and application-system development
- Complete ad hoc projects for the Department Head to improve departmental quality and cost effectiveness
- Undertake business-development activities, including participation in sponsor meetings
- Represent the department to senior management and cross-departmental forums
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job, comparable to 10+ years, or equivalent and relevant combination of education, training, and experience
- 5+ years of management responsibility
- Proven leadership skills
- Deep industry and clinical-trial-specific functional knowledge
- Excellent coaching, mentoring, and teaching skills
- Expertise leading and motivating teams
- Strong analytical skills, including extracting meaning from data and applying it to real-world problems
- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
- Strong technical skills interacting with data handling, analysis, and visualization tools
- Leadership-level communication and presentation skills
- Ability to represent the department to senior management and cross-departmental forums
- Ability to work under high pressure and maintain intense concentration
