About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide tactical and strategic planning, operational oversight, support, and direct supervision of the Clinical Data Liaison function within Data Analytics
Work with functional area leads to evaluate operational-risk signals and advocate for risk-mitigation strategies
Oversee Centralized Monitoring processes, ensuring timelines and contracts are adhered to and quality standards are met for assigned projects
Manage resources and workload of direct reports
Support department infrastructure through leadership of support services, database administration, performance measurement, and application-system development
Complete ad hoc projects for the Department Head to improve departmental quality and cost effectiveness
Undertake business-development activities, including participation in sponsor meetings
Represent the department to senior management and cross-departmental forums

Requirements

What you’ll need

Previous experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job, comparable to 10+ years, or equivalent and relevant combination of education, training, and experience
5+ years of management responsibility
Proven leadership skills
Deep industry and clinical-trial-specific functional knowledge
Excellent coaching, mentoring, and teaching skills
Expertise leading and motivating teams
Strong analytical skills, including extracting meaning from data and applying it to real-world problems
Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
Strong technical skills interacting with data handling, analysis, and visualization tools
Leadership-level communication and presentation skills
Ability to represent the department to senior management and cross-departmental forums
Ability to work under high pressure and maintain intense concentration
