About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Pursue new sales opportunities within an assigned geographic territory
  • Work with architects, casework dealers, general contractors, real estate developers, project managers, lab planners and Laboratory Equipment Representatives to drive sales
  • Represent the total laboratory equipment portfolio and exceed territory forecasts
  • Partner with field sales to identify and close new construction, renovation and expansion opportunities
  • Promote Thermo Fisher Scientific’s full product portfolio on sales calls
  • Develop detailed quarterly business plans to achieve required sales growth
  • Establish customer relationships and grow the new construction opportunity pipeline
  • Update CRM sales funnel reports to support monthly sales forecasting and product build plans

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in the Life Sciences
  • Minimum of 5 years of highly successful laboratory sales experience or experience in the laboratory construction market
  • Confirmed understanding of the construction industry
  • Outstanding understanding of the markets and knowledge of diverse laboratory product applications
  • Outstanding analytical capability and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated capability to effectively communicate and close business
  • Professional presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel 40% domestically
