About the role

  • Establish, lead and develop an NPI procurement team.
  • Set up scalable processes, KPIs and governance.
  • Define and implement NPI procurement strategies aligned with product roadmaps and supply chain resilience.
  • Promote early supplier engagement, make-vs-buy decisions, dual-sourcing strategies and supplier scalability.
  • Lead design-to-cost, should-cost modeling, benchmarking and value engineering in early development phases.
  • Identify and manage strategic technology partners, including joint development and co-creation initiatives.
  • Lead procurement for NPI execution and ensure material readiness, bill-of-material integrity, risk visibility and on-time delivery of prototypes and pilot builds.
  • Provide procurement leadership in portfolio reviews, technology strategy discussions and executive forums.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, including at least 5 years in NPI or product development.
  • Proven leadership with experience scaling teams and leading complex, multi-technology sourcing initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in procurement strategy, supplier management, cost analysis, risk management and value analysis.
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership, analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and procurement tools.
