Job Level

About the role

  • Work with Platform Architects and DevOps Engineers to define and communicate a shared platform vision that delivers customer value.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and R&D to ensure the platform is fit for purpose, secure, and scalable.
  • Describe the platform context and operational intent; analyze trade-offs across reliability, performance, security, cost, and regulatory requirements.
  • Define and evolve core platform components and subsystems (cloud, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, security).
  • Establish standards and guardrails for infrastructure as code, releases, configuration, and access management.
  • Ensure DevOps processes, tooling, and documentation support GxP, Computer System Validation (CSV), audit readiness, and traceability requirements.
  • Own and mature the configuration management and formal change control processes, including impact assessment, approvals, and controlled releases.
  • Lead the end-to-end product release process for a validated, commercial software product delivered to TechOps for field installation.
  • Lead and develop the DevOps team; manage goals and performance reviews.
  • Own CI/CD strategy; standardize pipelines, implement security gates, and improve DORA metrics.
  • Define platform standards (Terraform, Helm, Git); build shared tooling and golden paths.
  • Set SLIs/SLOs for internal platforms and CI/CD systems, lead incident response, postmortems, and preventive improvements for infrastructure and internal environments.
  • Plan environments and capacity; manage upgrades and promotions.
  • Ensure robust monitoring, logging, and tracing; deliver actionable alerts.
  • Own security posture: secrets management, IAM, hardening, vulnerability remediation, and policy-as-code.
  • Validate disaster recovery: backups, restores, and recovery tests.
  • Optimize cloud cost and performance; implement autoscaling and lifecycle policies.
  • Drive automation for build, integration, testing, and deployments.
  • Ensure DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines comply with GxP, validation, and documentation standards.
  • Maintain traceability across code, configurations, environments, and release artifacts in alignment with configuration management and change control requirements.
  • Own the product release pipeline, including packaging, validation, documentation, release note generation, and handoff to TechOps for customer installation.

  • Expertise with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, Docker, Git, and Linux is a must.
  • Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins/GitHub Actions), observability (Prometheus/Grafana), and security best practices is a must.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
