About the role

  • Use product features, benefits, and applications to qualify leads and initiate the sales process
  • Provide an outstanding digital experience for customers through thermofisher.com web chat
  • Triage web-based sales leads and ensure the customer is directed to the appropriate selling resource
  • Facilitate information flow between customers, sales reps/account managers, technical sales specialists, customer service, and technical services
  • Log opportunities in Salesforce.com

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Life Sciences field or related lab experience
  • Requires a minimum of 0-1 years related work experience (i.e. customer services, telephone experience)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of life sciences and workflows or hands-on laboratory experience in a research lab setting, particularly in the area of genomics
  • Experience in remote selling (phone or digital) and customer consultation is desired
  • General knowledge of the assigned product portfolio and/or customer segment required
  • Can communicate in English
  • Practical understanding of the sales process & buying cycle
  • Strong interpersonal skills, positive demeanor, and professional mannerisms
