About the role
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Q&RA strategy for CMD that drives growth while ensuring compliance readiness.
- Champion a strong quality culture, aligning teams to meet and exceed customer and business expectations.
- Lead and mentor a global quality organization (8–10 direct, ~90 indirect reports) across North America, Europe, China, and Singapore—building leadership capability and encouraging professional growth.
- Apply data-driven insights to strengthen process control, root cause analysis, and predictive/preventive quality systems.
- Coordinate operations quality across CMD sites to achieve business and regulatory objectives efficiently.
- Ensure Quality Management Systems remain compliant, effective, and continuously improved—covering CAPA, complaints, audits, change control, and NPDI support.
- Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs and cross-functional partners to support new product introductions and ensure global compliance.
- Bringing to bear analytics, optimizing systems, and excelling in processes to foster continuous improvement and cost efficiency.
- Operate effectively in a matrix organization, aligning with divisional and corporate teams on quality initiatives, audits, and performance metrics.
- Establish and monitor quality benchmarks to track performance and drive measurable improvements.
Requirements
- B.S. degree or equivalent experience in Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of strategic quality leadership experience balancing multiple global sites.
- Experience with complex systems and instruments, ideally across industries such as Automotive, Aerospace, and Life Science Technology.
- Highly analytical and data-driven approach, with the ability to use benchmarks, indicators, and statistical methods to evaluate performance and promote ongoing improvement.
- Demonstrated customer focus—placing the customer at the forefront of decisions, prioritization, and process improvement.
- Proven ability to implement robust quality systems (ISO 9001 and ISO 13485) that meet regulatory, market, and customer requirements.
- Strong team-building skills, aligning strategy, organizational structure, and leadership talent.
- Expertise in operational execution and leading quality assurance organizations efficiently and effectively.
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to lead multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Ability to travel up to 25-40% across EMEA & Asia.
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma improvement systems preferred.
