About the role

  • Write automated tests for API and UI layers using tools such as Selenium
  • Maintain existing tests and write manual and automated tests while features are being developed
  • Deliver a comprehensive test strategy for an industry leading SaaS application
  • Ensure test activities are consistent with test plans across diverse and distributed development teams
  • Collaborate with Product and Development teams to create user stories, define acceptance criteria, and build test plans
  • Test and validate software to ensure it satisfies requirements and is free from defects
  • Analyze root cause for testing failures and open appropriate tickets with sufficient findings
  • Integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipeline to increase speed to market
  • Manually test application components where automation is not a good fit
  • Make recommendations to improve current testing processes

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience in an Agile, highly collaborative, team-based environment
  • 3 or more years of experience developing API and UI test automation projects
  • BS and/or MS in a technical discipline (Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred)
  • Experience with software development languages such as C#, Java, JavaScript
  • Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber
  • Strong understanding of web and browser technologies
