About the role

  • Infrastructure management: Installation, configuration and administration of IT infrastructure and deployed applications
  • Analysis, handling and resolution of technical incidents in 1st- and 2nd-level support
  • User support for IT-related questions and problems
  • Participation in optimizing internal IT processes and workflows
  • Setup and provisioning of hardware and software
  • System administration: Administration of Microsoft domains and network infrastructures
  • Management of central IT services and applications (e.g., Active Directory, Exchange, cloud services and Microsoft 365)
  • User administration including assignment of rights and roles as well as support for remote application installations
  • Implementation, monitoring and maintenance of the backup infrastructure
  • Ensuring and continuously improving IT security
  • Creation and maintenance of network and system documentation
  • Project work: Participation in the planning and implementation of IT rollout/implementation projects
  • Analysis and evaluation of new technologies to further develop and optimize the existing IT infrastructure

Requirements

  • Qualified vocational training as an IT specialist in system integration, systems engineering or system electronics — career changers welcome with appropriate qualifications
  • Several years of professional experience as an IT Administrator, IT Systems Technician or in a comparable position
  • Good to very good knowledge of Microsoft 365, and relevant knowledge in the following areas: Microsoft client and server operating systems, backup, security (firewall), networking, Active Directory, MS Exchange (on-premises and cloud), VPN
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain an overview in hectic situations, as well as structured and precise working methods
  • Team player with an independent working style
  • German language skills, written and spoken, at a good level (at least C1)
  • High level of analytical thinking, motivation, enthusiasm for solving technical challenges and willingness to contribute
  • Driving license class B (car)
