About the role
- Financial management: You are responsible for the kitchen’s budget
- Strategic development: You define objectives and develop concepts for the future direction of our food services
- Operational process management: You oversee inventory management, procurement and ensure consistently smooth operations
- Quality standards: You establish a quality standard and maintain it
- Project work: A kitchen software is currently being implemented and will need to be populated with recipes afterwards
- Empathetic team leadership: You lead a team of around 20 people with appreciation, clarity and motivation – from chefs and kitchen assistants to warehouse staff
- Concept & menu development: You further develop breakfast, lunch, dinner and on-ward meal services
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration (BWL) or Food Management, or a completed business-related vocational qualification
- Completed chef/cook training (m/f/d)
- At least two years of professional experience in gastronomy, ideally in communal/contract catering
- Experience with budget responsibility and leadership duties
- Creativity, initiative and the confidence to develop and implement new ideas
- Strong German language skills, spoken and written (minimum C1 level)
