About the role

  • Financial management: You are responsible for the kitchen’s budget
  • Strategic development: You define objectives and develop concepts for the future direction of our food services
  • Operational process management: You oversee inventory management, procurement and ensure consistently smooth operations
  • Quality standards: You establish a quality standard and maintain it
  • Project work: A kitchen software is currently being implemented and will need to be populated with recipes afterwards
  • Empathetic team leadership: You lead a team of around 20 people with appreciation, clarity and motivation – from chefs and kitchen assistants to warehouse staff
  • Concept & menu development: You further develop breakfast, lunch, dinner and on-ward meal services

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration (BWL) or Food Management, or a completed business-related vocational qualification
  • Completed chef/cook training (m/f/d)
  • At least two years of professional experience in gastronomy, ideally in communal/contract catering
  • Experience with budget responsibility and leadership duties
  • Creativity, initiative and the confidence to develop and implement new ideas
  • Strong German language skills, spoken and written (minimum C1 level)
