About the role

  • Engineering: You ensure the satisfaction of your technical clients (typically CTOs, VPs of Engineering) and business stakeholders by being accountable for the quality of the architectures and code produced by your teams.
  • Management: You directly manage up to 4 Tech Leads and ensure their development—particularly technical growth—as well as that of their developers.
  • Cross-functional improvements: You drive cross-cutting technical or organizational changes at the client level and/or across Theodo FinTech.
  • Medium-term career perspectives: Managerial: Engineering Director; Business: Partnership with responsibility for a business platform and/or a group practice.

Requirements

  • 7–14 years of professional experience
  • Proven experience managing technical teams
  • Experience in services (IT services company / consulting)
  • Technical proficiency: we do not expect the Engineering Manager to code regularly, but on large-account engagements we expect strong knowledge of Java (Spring Boot) and/or Angular
  • Ability to design scalable architectures
  • Strong interest in using Generative AI to design and develop digital products
  • Leadership and the ability to teach, onboard teams and explain concepts clearly to clients
  • Ability to solve complex problems and implement cross-functional change within an organization
  • Business acumen: ability to dig into the business objectives of a feature to identify the best technical solution.
