About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a liaison between operational stakeholders and the Information Systems Department to ensure business needs are effectively represented.
Support the ongoing operations, optimization, and enhancement of assigned Epic applications.
Analyze business processes, workflows, and system requirements to identify opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with operational leaders, end users, application teams, and technical resources to understand business needs and develop effective solutions.
Participate in requirements gathering, workflow analysis, system design, testing, issue resolution, and implementation activities.
Evaluate the impact of Epic system changes on existing workflows and downstream processes.
Assist with troubleshooting application and workflow issues and coordinate appropriate resolution.
Support testing activities, including test planning, execution, validation, and documentation.
Provide recommendations regarding system functionality, workflow optimization, and process improvement.
Maintain appropriate documentation related to requirements, workflows, system changes, testing, and operational processes.
Support Epic upgrades, enhancements, implementations, and other system initiatives as assigned.
Participate in meetings with business and technical stakeholders and communicate project status, risks, issues, and recommendations.
Ensure solutions support organizational objectives, operational efficiency, and a positive end-user experience.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of IT work experience; OR
Three (3) years of work experience in business analysis within a hospital or healthcare organization; OR
High school diploma or GED and nine (9) years of IT work experience.
Epic certification in at least one of the following applications:
Prelude
Cadence
Grand Central
Referrals
Experience working with healthcare information systems and business/operational stakeholders.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to translate operational requirements into effective technology solutions.
