About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a liaison between operational stakeholders and the Information Systems Department to ensure business needs are effectively represented.
  • Support the ongoing operations, optimization, and enhancement of assigned Epic applications.
  • Analyze business processes, workflows, and system requirements to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders, end users, application teams, and technical resources to understand business needs and develop effective solutions.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, workflow analysis, system design, testing, issue resolution, and implementation activities.
  • Evaluate the impact of Epic system changes on existing workflows and downstream processes.
  • Assist with troubleshooting application and workflow issues and coordinate appropriate resolution.
  • Support testing activities, including test planning, execution, validation, and documentation.
  • Provide recommendations regarding system functionality, workflow optimization, and process improvement.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation related to requirements, workflows, system changes, testing, and operational processes.
  • Support Epic upgrades, enhancements, implementations, and other system initiatives as assigned.
  • Participate in meetings with business and technical stakeholders and communicate project status, risks, issues, and recommendations.
  • Ensure solutions support organizational objectives, operational efficiency, and a positive end-user experience.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of IT work experience; OR
  • Three (3) years of work experience in business analysis within a hospital or healthcare organization; OR
  • High school diploma or GED and nine (9) years of IT work experience.
  • Epic certification in at least one of the following applications:
  • Prelude
  • Cadence
  • Grand Central
  • Referrals
  • Experience working with healthcare information systems and business/operational stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to translate operational requirements into effective technology solutions.
