About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work with the team that researches, designs, develops, installs, tests and adjusts, and/or documents new projects
Apply architectural and theatrical lighting techniques supporting the creative vision for attractions, restaurants, merchandise areas and/or area development in WDW Orlando-based theme park and resort areas
Develop, under supervision, designs of show lighting
Prepare, under supervision, basic lighting design and field implementation
Troubleshoot and install existing lighting in a construction environment
Provide general support to Lighting Designers
Perform inventory control for equipment and supplies as needed
Adapt responsibilities and shifts day to day based on project needs and workplace availability

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands on experience with theatrical or architectural lighting
Experience with AutoCAD & Revit
Computer literacy with MS Office products
Ability to work as a member of a technical team
Valid Driver’s License required
Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher at an accredited college/university earning a degree majoring in a Theatrical or Architectural Lighting program, or related field
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work
Must be fully available for the duration of the internship
Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship in Anaheim, CA
