About the role
- Lead and participate within a dynamic team supporting Disney's broadcast networks
- Responsible for all aspects of projects necessary to achieve successful implementation
- Design, configure, test, and maintain LAN/WAN and security equipment and related services
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems as they arise
- Work with Engineering and Operation teams to define and document network standards and architecture
- Perform daily maintenance and problem resolution, operating system patches and software upgrades, and routine hardware configuration
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation
- Gain exposure to best-of-breed technologies and support broadcast distribution and monetization platforms
Requirements
- 3+ years working in Internet related fields
- Advanced understanding of TCP/IP
- Cisco NX-OS, IOS-XR, and IOS-XE expertise
- Strong familiarity with Cisco / Arista routers and switches
- Familiarity with Arista Data Center Switching
- Ability to efficiently resolve network issues with varying degrees of complexity
- Setup and maintenance of network log management systems
- Knowledgeable in network security procedures and best practices
- Familiarity with Multicast configuration and troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of common network monitoring and security utilities
- Excellent communication skills and customer presentation skills
- Willingness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge
- Experience with EIGRP, BGP4, OSPF, IP Multicast, HSRP, STP, LACP
- Experience with packet capturing tools, TCP/IP, Linux, NAT, and IPv6
- Experience with Arista EOS and Cisco Nexus (All Series)
- Preferred: understanding of network virtualization (VRFs, VXLAN)
- Preferred: experience with network automation tools and scripting
- Preferred: experience in multi-vendor network topologies
- Preferred: experience in media or web scale sectors
- Required Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferably engineering related)
- Preferred Certifications: Current CCIE or CCNP preferred
