About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design high performance and scalable systems and improve system architecture
Work closely with product and engineering leadership to spec-out, design and implement solutions for our partners
Write, test and release elegant software systems that are robust and scalable production ready using the latest technologies
Demonstrate engineering excellence by developing high performance software, while following an agile development methodology
Use a mix of technologies including: Scala, Java, Kafka/Kinesis, DynamoDB and Lambda

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 5 years of related work experience in software engineering
Minimum of 2 years of experience programming with at least one of the following languages: Java, Scala or Python
Experience working at scale and high RPS throughput
Familiarity with SQL
Quality-first demeanor with a focus on test automation and CI/CD
Strong analytical skills
